LINKS

Because you can't really have a Website without a links page. Here's all the links that I wanna pass along.

If you want external links to open in a new window, type "monkey" here:

  1. Personal Websites and Blogs
    1. Rubber Nun
This is Amy's site, and it's too cool, because you can never have too many pictures of a rubber nun puppet!
    2. No Commercial Potential
      He nice, the Phineas.
    3. Dave Lennie's Website
A feller I met back at Bradley University. He's got a job at a central Illinois TV station, and he's also got plenty of time on his hands, so naturally he makes movies of Lego animations.
    4. Dan Rench's Website
Another feller I met back at Bradley University. Mad genius behind the Mother, Jugs & Speed newsletter.
    5. KoolAss KellyAnne
Miss KellyAnne will kick your ass and make you say "thank you."
    6. Davezilla
Jive-ass blogging king in the Midwest. Has been known to post on Amy's blog sometimes, so we list him here. Also, he bought us lunch one time, so he's gotta be cool.
    7. Little. Yellow. Different.
Sure, Ernie's won the fancy Bloggie award, but has success changed him? Nope, still gay.
    8. Jhames
If I could write and actually had something to say, this is what my blog would look like. Also, if I was gay.
    9. Dynagirl.com
I've not been properly introduced to Miriam, but she once linked to my site, so she's in. (Same goes for Rebecca, Jennifer, and Jessica.)
    10. Otis Fodder's blog
Otis is one half of The Bran Flakes (see below), and he's decided to do the blogging thing. Keep an eye on his site for amusing artworks, jaw-dropping sounds, and 100% more Kayla.
    11. Turbanhead
If "bling-bling" was a blog, it would be Turbanhead. Also, if it was born in India, lived in New York, and went travelling an awful lot, taking a bunch of cool pictures that you can see on the site.
    12. Jody Beth Rosen's blog
Jody is living the good life in NYC, writing about music, film, style, and the occasional beetle. She also wrote up an extremely flattering review of that one damn animation that I did that one time. Flattery will get you nowhere, kids, but it will get you linked.
    13. Copyfight: An IP blog
That's Intellectual Property, not Internet Protocol. Lots of important information about copyright law and related issues. Fascinating stuff, if you like that sort of thing.
  2. Music Websites
    1. BENTEN Records Online
I just can't say enough nice things about this Japanese label started by, run by, and exclusively for, female musicians, so I won't say anything more.
    2. Negativland
They've been together for over 20 years. 20 years, dangit!!!
    3. Stuart Davis
He actively ignores my song requests, but I still go to his shows, because he is an excellent musician. (Site design by the Phineas.)
    4. Happi Tyme Records
There's this band called The Bran Flakes, and they've started putting out their music on their own label. More power to 'em!
    5. Aquarius Records
Can't find an independent music store in your area? Go here. They'll set you up fine. (Also check out Forced Exposure, Duffelbag, and Insound. Among others.)

  3. Artistic Websites
    1. An Exquisite Corpse
Four (or five) players get together, toss some pixels around, and the result is posted for all to see. Currently on hiatus, but hold your breath; a new version of the site is coming someday.
    2. Jan Švankmajer: Alchemist of the Surreal
Because he's the greatest currently living Surrealist film-maker, that's why.
    3. Milky Elephant
Mumbleboy kicks my ass two times a day.

... and last, but certainly not least,

  4. Sites that I've worked on
    1. Legnog
Big, dumb, and brassy. Just the way you like 'em! Home of all sorts of weird stuff, including "I Only Live Twice."
    2. The Bad Music Foundation
      Purveyors of disturbing tunes.
    3. Mother, Jugs & Speed fansite
      "Heeeyyyyy JUGGS!!!!" -- Murdoch
    4. Jim 'n' Amy
Hey! I got married! And you didn't! SUCKER!!!
    5. Dictionaraoke
In May of 2001, I had this dumb idea. I shared it with some other people, and they liked it. They picked up the idea, and ran with it. Thanks to them, I got some of my music played on Dr. Demento, WFMU, and buttloads of other places. (Also see this page at DollarCD, where you can purchase a CD-ROM full of MP3s from the site for a measly buck. When was the last time you got something for a dollar? You don't remember, do you? That's because you have amnesia, which you got from a falling cocoanut.)
    6. My site on Sensory Research
Just another Website, with occasional weird music.
