05:16 PM :: What's new?
a cat in the window

Well, we've got ourselves a new cat. We stopped by Tree House Humane Society in Andersonville and met a very nice cat named Sugar Cookie. She seemed very friendly, and she's an older cat (about 11 years), and she was looking for a home that wouldn't be too stressful or noisy. And that sounded like an ideal cat for us, so we took her home.

After about a week, she's starting to explore the whole house, and we're starting to get a handle on the foods that she likes to eat. She's still a little jumpy when people are walking by her, especially if she's outside her comfort range (which is mainly the dining room and parts of the hallway), but she's working on it.

So that's the big topic of discussion around these parts. Go check out the Flickr set for photos.

B-Fest in five days! The lineup was posted on Friday, and it's a great-looking one. Lots of stuff that I hadn't seen before, and one amazing choice for the traditional blaxploitation slot overnight. Check it out if you like that sort of thing.

There should be about 7 or 8 people in our group, which is typical for us. We'll be missing a couple of long-time attendees this year, due to previous commitments, family schedules, etc. We'll just have to soldier on as best we can.

I've started collecting my B-Fest 2012 pictures on Flickr, which are mostly at this point just shots of my plates. Keep an eye on the Flickr stream & my Twitter feed(s) next weekend for more exciting B-Fest updates!
