The great shows On The Hour and The Day Today were parodies of British news programs on radio and TV. They would include fake headlines that followed the template of regular news headlines ("Man With Glass Jaw Deemed Too Disgusting To Stand Trial", "Where Now For Man Raised By Puffins?", "International String Lengths Agreed", etc.).

The headlines were often my favorite part of the programs, and I had it in the back of my mind that a good project would be to make a random nonsensical headlines generator. Well, I had some time a couple of months ago, so I did this very thing.

I've got a big list of randomized headlines that have been generated already, and they're being doled out on Twitter under the user hdlnz. You will see 3-5 random headlines every weekday, with some exciting statements of purpose every Sunday.

I've had this running since the beginning of the year, and the reason I haven't mentioned it until now is because I was just curious if I could actually drum up some interest by just letting the thing run and letting people find it. Well, after two months I had a grand total of 8 followers, and they were all spam accounts, so I just said screw it and decided to mention it now. So go check it out and see what you think.
