07:29 PM :: Pride weekend!

Hey, it was Pride weekend. Were you proud? Good. Amy marched in Chicago's Pride Parade with the Neo-Futurists, and didn't have that great a time. You see, one of the sponsors was handing out sticks. These sticks were to be used for spanking people, and they were used as such, whether or not the spank-ee wanted to be spanked. So I suspect the sponsor will be hearing from plenty of irate parade atendees this week.

I skipped the parade (mostly because I suspected something bad would happen, as it usualy does) and went to Facets to see the amazing movie Big Man Japan, about a guy who works for the Japanese government fending off monster invasions. But nowadays all the great and exciting monsters have been defeated, so we've got monsters like... oh, let's say a big monster that sulks around downtown Japan, exuding a bad stink. Not too exciting.

The movie follows this guy as he fights the monsters by being zapped with electricity, which makes him grow into a stick-wielding giant. Just go check out the trailer on YouTube for the full story. It was a great film, and I highly recommend it.
