Feb24 2008

04:29 PM :: Worst February ever.

Well, it's been a very crappy month. We started out with voter disenfranchisement in our primary, and Amy getting beat up on the Internets when she tried to rectify the problem (full story in this week's Reader). Then we came down with a bunch of colds, which are still continuing to this day. And then we found out that my mother has lung cancer, which has pretty much been my focus for the past couple of weeks. I've been going to my mother's home on the weekends, helping out when I can, but mostly I've been waiting to see what happens with the treatment she's getting at the hospital. Hopefully we will get some good news at the end of this week.

In the meantime, I've had "Better Things" by The Kinks running through my head, so it's this week's MP3. I hope that we all have better things ahead for us.
