09:33 PM :: No, you didn't just see this.
I cannot tell a lie; I was inspired by this posted image over at BoingBoing. If I had any doubts as to whether or not I was headed for the fiery pit, this should clinch it.

01:09 PM :: What the carrots are for.
Woman at salad bar, putting shredded carrots on her salad, talking to her boyfriend: "These are for eyesight. You understand?"
Boyfriend, disinterestedly: "Okay..."

08:17 AM :: Bad Music sample.
 "Mama, Looka Boo-Boo" Robert Mitchum
"Shut you mouth! Go away!" From the infamous Robert Mitchum calypso album comes this song that was previously better known as a Harry Belafonte number. Mitchum speeds it up a bit and adds an additional verse not on the Belafonte version (he also screws up the words in a couple places). It's not a bad calypso number, but ... it's Robert freakin' Mitchum!
One more great thing about this album: when it was reissued on CD in 1995, the record company put a little sticker on the cover of the CD, trying to play up the ultra-cool hip lounge music aspect of the album. Unfortunately, they misspelled a very important word on the text of the sticker:
Personally, I don't have too much confidence in a record label who can't even spell the style of music that they're trying to promote. But that's just me.
